Structure and trapping mechanism(s)
The Blue Water prospect is situated just north of the north-verging Pryor Mountain thrust fault along the northern flank of the Pryor Mountains. Surface and air photo geologic maps in the area show that the EHHOP lies on the west flank and crest of a gently north-plunging open anticline in the footwall of the Pryor Mountain thrust. The anticlines are easily identified by folded Triassic and Jurassic rocks at the surface and folds visible on air photos.
